Icon5 question on rim backspacing

Ok so i have 32 11.5 on some cheep 8 inch rims. I want to my tires to stick out a couple of inches to get that rough, rogged look. What would be my best bet?

15x8 with backspacing
or
15x10 stock or with backspacing??

I want it to look like a mean truck!

Thanks for the input.

and by the way I have NO CLUE about backspacing!

I would go with a 15x8 with either 3.75" or 3.25" of backspacing. 15x10's are too wide for only a 11.50 wide tire.

Mickey Thompson Classic II's have 3.3125 or 3 5/16" which is a little over a 3 1/4". They should stick out more than the fenders. 04blackedge has them with 32x11.50 and they stick out past his fender flares a little, may be a half inch. If you don't have flares they will stick out more.

You need to consider the fact his is a different year. I just used his as an example. I have seen 11.50" wide tires on 10" wide wheels, but I wouldn't do it. Also if you offroad you can't air down the tires as much with out the chance of popping a bead. The extra width and less backspacing will also put greater stress on components like wheel bearings and ball joints. With a stock height truck 10" wide wheels with little backspacing will most likely cause rubbing problems. It's your choice on what you want to do. I'm just giving you the facts.

Thats why im here my friend. I just looked at several other posts and have to say that i really likt the look of the 15x10 with a 3.75 bs, but they were all 33X12.5, not 32x11.5. So now im very confused on what to do...do they make soft 8's with a much less backspacing to match the look i want? hhmmm

Yeah I missed this thread lol. My rims have 3.3 something back spacking like said above and come out a smidge past my flares, I have the Edge flares tho so on a truck with no flares they would stick out a good inch and a half. A 15x10 would make them stick out more but thats a big rim to run on a 11.5 in wide tire. It's doable just not recommended.

Those wheels will work fine. Even being 8" wide over 10" they are going to stick out a lot with only 3.250" of backspacing. I am looking at those too, but in a different size and chrome.

4" backspace on 8" rim fit and tuck just fine. I used to run it.

NO 10" rim for those tires.....way too wide.
