Painting stock rims?

Hey, i got a '96 3.0 ranger for free. Ive been driving it for about a month now, and done a couple mods to it such as: under dash neons, the airbox mod, a sweet sound system, and currently, im tinting the windows.

However, i was recently thinking and doing something with the rims im guessing would make it look better. If anything, I want to do paint (i dont wanna buy new rims or powdercoat because i wont have this truck for too long...).

So here are some pics of it. What color, if any should i paint my rims. or should i do something else like polish the !@#$ outta them?
i dont know wat will look right with the paint job i got.
Plus, im in Ohio so there will be salt on the road as you can see on my truck
what other mods under 20 bux would be worth doing?

My truck:

If you're going to sell it, just leave them.

I used the gunmetal rim paint (by dupcolor) they have a autozone and Advance auto on my jeeps rims. The spraypaint can does the work for you. Its sort of glittery. I will post a pic later, It made the jeep look alot better, happy with the results. Use index cards and a light primer. It only took 2 cans for all 4 rims, 5 coats each tire, 20min apart. $12 made a huge difference.

sorry to go off topic but i have the same ranger stock rims, i was wondering how wide they are? also, i suggest going black, maybe a green black and if your going to really get into it put a brown stripe to match your paint job.

it probably wont be sold for a couple years at least because im going to give it to my parents and buy my new car. plus, it only has 31k miles on it so it should last them awhile.

so duplicolor paint is the way to go? and they have special rim paint?
can anyone give an example on what color i should use. that gunmetal looks sweet on your jeep, i just dont know what will wook with mine. throw me some more suggestions and ill try to photoshop the colors on. pics of the color would help a lot :)
thanks

I would use the rim paint from autozone/walmart/Advance auto. It looks oem when you get done, my jeep rims do not look painted. I dont know about regular spraypaint unless you were going jet black or something.

Heres the directions i used, i used index cars instead of newspaper.

http://www.caswellplating.com/vht/krylon_engine.html along with the factory touch up paint and then some spray bottle clearcoat? or will that not work?
does anyone know what my paint colors are called?

The dupicolor paint has alittle glitter/lighter color/shinny in it and will look alot better than that photoshop you did.
