Hey guys, first post here. Ive been told this is a good place to find out info on Rangers...so here is my first question.

Tomorrow I'm picking up a roller 98 ranger. I already have a mildly built EFI 306,a t5(not sure if it will line up with the current hole in the tranny tunnel..its outta a sn95 stang) but I have a spare set of wheels, 17x8 stock gt wheels(94-04 style)with 245/45/17s which I know will fit, but I'd like to run a much wider rear wheel/tire. Can I run a 17x10.5 w/ a 6.8" backspace(+28mm offset) in the rear with a 315/45/17? (I have a free set of almost new michelins at work that are up for grabs between the techs.)

If i had the truck already, I'd just take it to work and measure up the dimensions, but like I said i don't have the truck yet so I'd greatly appreciate some input on this.
