1" Body Lift went on today

Everyone should do this RIGHT NOW. You wouldn't think that 1" would make much of a difference, but it's unbelievable how good it looks on a Ranger. Three hours to install start-to-finish by me and a buddy from work using an impact in a SMALL garage with a floor pit. I was hoping to get some pics while we were installing it, but we just wanted to get it done, so pics didn't happen. Went suprisingly smoothly considering my truck is 6 years old and the amount of salt that gets put down on the roads in the winter. Core supports gave us some fits, had to trim the fan shroud, and the bolts that i thought would be the easiest--the bed bolts--were miserable to get out. Definitely use some mapp gas on the cab bolts and PB Blaster on everything else. I'll get some pics up once i get the truck washed.

In a perfect world, I probably would've done the 3", but..
1) I wasn't willing to lose my Bassani exhaust-it wouldn't look good hanging down 3 inches
2) Would feel compelled to put on some 33s
3) The wife had a hard time climbing in at stock height

I had a 1" bl on mine and it helped with the 32's, but I much prefer my 3" bl with 33's. Also the whole wife having a hard time getting in is a lame excuse lol. My fiance is 5" and can get into my truck without much problem. Thats what stepbars are for anyway lol

Looks great. So many dog on the 1", but it sure has it's place doesn't it? I loved mine when I had one. Just enough to clear the 32's better!

What'd you end up doing for the bumpers? Did the frame horn notch up front? Left the back stock?

Exactly--Notched the front, left the back alone. I just got done filling the gap below the tailgate with a strip of 4" vinyl cove base molding when I got home from work.
Shane--did you by chance check-out my step-by-step that I posted last night on page 12 of the 1" BL Sticky?

Thanks Billy-
Front is cranked, on 1-codes. It rides like hell now-can't stand to crank it any more. I'm not overly thrilled with the rake, and the BL seems to have made it stand out more. Contemplating maybe pulling the stock blocks out to level it out a bit, but that's not gonna happen for a while-I've got 4 shows in the next 6 weeks.

He has torsion bars not coils, and he already cranked his bars some.
