Body Lift Differences

Hey all, ordering a body lift tonight or tomorrow. I heard from another Ranger guy that there are no differences between these two lifts...except with the 98-2000 i'd have to buy a shifter extension. How true is this? I don't want to order the wrong lift...

Or

Obviously the first is cheaper. But the parts in the pic look much different.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

there is no differnce just the brand, one is summit and the other is preformance accessories, the picture isnt the exact content half the time, so i would go with the summit since its less expensive

So there is absolutely no difference between the years 98+?

I'm confident there's not, just to double check.

Site also says "steering extension included," however, under suggested parts its shows a steering extension.

Whats the deal? The suggested one just better then the one that comes with the kit?

People who have bought the summit BL...do I need to order anything else? I'll make home made gap guards.

98+ kits are all the same. On both my 04's I used 98-00 kits. For a manual you WILL need to get an extension, but I tell you now. You will HATE the extension. However get you a hurst and put a small extension on it or get the longer arm and you will be very happy with the combo. I ran the H+longer arm and it put the shifter in a great spot.

Thanks for the info

x2, as far as the manual extension, I actually still have mine and its not to bad. Things like interior rattles and my wheels wobbling bother me more really.

The only thing that will differ alil bit is your gas filler neck changes sizes and that between the years. Also probably the most important thing is the directions or atleast mine were down right horrible. You will need to be able to improvise if the time comes and basically just having a good general overview of all you will be doing and how everything works is the best route. Once you have that everything else is easy. I ended up just throwing the directions way after reading through them and making sure I got the little details and just did it my own way.

Both kits come with steering shaft extensions.

Niether kit comes with Manual transmssion shifter extensions you will need to order it when you order your body lift.

Both kits are the same the summit kit is just a reboxed PA kit IIRC.However the instuctions included with the summit kit have no pics but you can go to PA's website and print them out in color with pics.

Plus you have ranger-forums to help you out if you get lost.

Make sure to lay out and inventory you kit when you get it most of them are missing something.
