3" Body Lift Success....But, ha ha?
OK, all went well and the body lift is done, but...I still have a few questions if you guys are willing to answer?
The breaker bar was a life saver though, once i got the bolts cracked loose then the impact just zipped them off no problem. I didnt have to use a torch or anything.
The bumpers were a piece of cake too.
The shifter...well i just drilled new pilot holes in the floor and remounted the whole shift boot assembly like 2" back further to give second gear enough room.
I got the truck up at school with me, she ran 2 hours up to school on the highway no problem. I didnt feel anything weird at all.
But it is a beautiful thing to be sitting as high as stock f-150s and chevy 2500's in a Ford Ranger haha!
I raised the bed with out extending the fuel filler hose. Is this ok? The hose has plenty of play still in it and isnt being pulled?
The steering wheel makes a rubber on rubber noise now when I make a hard turn at low speed. i check the extension and its fine, the column didnt shift when i installed the extension. My tires arent rubbing either. And the steering wheel isnt vibrating or anything. It just makes a weird noise?
When should I go back and check those new bolts again? I mean I put them down with an impact, but im still worried about them possibly coming loose? Is there a certain time you should check to make sure their still tight?
Thanks Again for the Help!...
