Leaving Lowered for Lifted

I am done with the lowered driving. I use my Ranger way to much and it sucks. I used drop coils, flip in the rear and drop shocks so I can go back to standard easily to start from again.

I am thinking of a 2" suspension lift with a PA 3" BL. I have a set of 15x8 Soft8's that I am going to use and was thinking of running Super Swamper TrXus STS All Terrain, LT 31.00 x 11.50R15 on them. I will also replace the shocks with Bilstien 5100s or should I go with just the Bilstein HDs?

The question is will this combo work out on my good ol' purple 98' 2.5L?

I just had to replace the balljoints and went ahead and replaced the bearings because there was some play. I know I will probably have to regear so that is no biggy.

I have done nothing but read through the Lifted threads here and I am sold this is the route I want to go and should have gone to begin with.

Got anyone in the Ft Bragg area that wants to help in return for beer and food?

Peace

That should work. You're going to gain 5 inches of lift with so those 31's should fit just fine.

personally I would go with Spindles and body lift and rear 2.5 ford stock block.

thats gonna be 3" suspension and 3" body. you can actually run 33x12.5x15 tires after the comfortably. 31's are gonna look small with all that.

we actually just did this to greg truck this fall it came out looking very nicely after the wheel alignment LOL. thats another story. dont forget to order cams if your truck doesnt already have them from lowering.

biggest thing get a rear gear set and ATLEAST 4.56 gears or your 2.5L and 33's

hmmmm looks like my next mod after my BL will be spindles

could a coilsprung run 35's with a 3 inch bl,3 inch spindles and 2.5 inch UCA?
i know the gearing would be up there pretty high to turn them with a 4 banger
