3" PA body lift.......done......and have questions/concerns...

Hey.

First off, I'd like to say that I can't believe I'm posting a body lift thread in the suspension section. personal pet peeve. lol.

I just put on my 3" bodylift. And I have a few questions....

1. I never unhooked my parking brake cable prior to jacking up, even though the instructions told me to. Lift is done, and the parking brake operates normally. Concerns about that??

2. I lowered the radiator with the supplied parts. The lower radiator hose is very very close to the sway bar. Instructions said if it hits the sway bar, turn the lower hose. Any concerns with the lower rad hose being very very close to hitting the sway bar???

3. The positive battery cable is very very tight. I had to tilt the battery to get the terminal on the post. Is this normal? Is there anywhere where I can relieve some tension?? I left the bracket off the block in an attempt to gain some slack.

This is all on a 2001 Ranger w/ 4.0L & 4x4.

Thanks for any help...I'm just curious. I'm fine the way it is, just wondering.

Shane

The only prob I see is you might want to get a longer bat cable cause you want some slack in it....:

did you take the bracket off the engine block that holds the bat cable? if not that will give you the clearance you need

That's what she said haha

Mines off too, you need a lil longer cable, or just follow the cable and find what it's hooked to and take it off the areas it's hooked too.. Did that for mine and that gave me a few more inches that I needed (no pun intended! )

On your lower rad hose, if you could fit a peice of old hose between your hose and the sway bar, and fasten it with a couple tie straps, that would stop any rubbing that may or could happen.
