1 inch body lift

so i read the lengthy sticky at the top. thread is full of ranger owners who've done the 1 in bl without any modifications to the steering, brake lines, radiator, etc. i made my mind up i was gonna do it, and went by the local 4x4 shop to get a labor estimate. (im not mechanically inclined enough to attempt it myself.) they proceeded to tell me they wouldnt do the work without performing basically all the modifications required for a 3 in bl. wtf? when i got home i called and got an email address to send them a link to the sticky thread, so ill wait to hear back. anyone have any thoughts on this?

They're doing it to cover their asses. Think of it, if they do the 1" and just take your word that everything will be fine(which it will be) and then something happens to your truck and you come after them and blame them, they're in deep ****.

yep but if it was me i would just go ahead and do the 3 inch every thing you need is in the kit.expect if your 5 speed. most of the people on here dont keep the 1 inch very long and step on up to the 3in
