Factory Body Mount and Bed Mount Bolt Torque Spec?

Hey guys..

My 99 Ranger PA BL kit says to tighten down bolts to factory specs, I can't find anything in my Ford Book. I looked at the instructions for the newer Rangers, it's more specific, it says to tighten to 55 FT LBS. Does that sound about right for those? It doesn't seem like too much. What did you guys torque yours to?

I checked at work to see because I got my BL in the mail the other day and it said 55 lb ft as well. I can't see going a bit tighter hurting anything...I'll probably torque mine to 55 and if it just doesn't feel right, I'll see how 70 feels. I mean they're just body bolts, not like you're going to crack an aluminum block by over tightening.

if you go too tight the cab will be lower than the bed....use red loctite on them too

fordtechservice says 50-68 lb/ft
