a body lift is a one man job

i did the bed in about an hour bc i couldnt find anyone to help, but it went pretty smooth and im happy with the results, its only half done but ill finish it hopefully tomorrow

i didnt have access to air tools so i used a ratchet and 100% elbow grease

and of course i got pics...

looks good so far. i suggest you find someone to help for the cab lol. makes things much easier

yeah i was thinking about that haha its gonna suck! im skipping church tomorrow to work on it so i have enough time.

isnt the cab the hardest part bc the cab bushings also have threads?

I did my body lift myself it does really suck.

the only bad part was my arms getting sore after a while, and cutting the fuel filler neck hose, for some reason that seemed hard lol

any advice for doing the rest?

you are speaking too soon about it being a one man job if you haven't done the cab yet...it isn't even a two man job...its a Justin and Zach job haha

haha no need to start anything guys, i think im the hard part will be the rad shroud and steering extension, am i right?

hard part is rear bumper brackets, steering extension is a breeze with a little anti-sieze, radiator isnt too bad, you need to crush in one side of the bottom lowering blocks to clear the pinch weld on the core support (youll see) and make sure to loosen the radiator before you lift the cab. front mounts can be fun too if they spin

can i just clamp something onto them if they spin? like visegrips or something?

have someone sit on the core support or hold them with a pair of 18" vise grips or both...usually both and heat/impact is what it takes if they are stuck

Yeah you can do it by yourself, it just takes a while longer. I had to redo mine because I one side of the radiator got stuck after I had it lifted so I had to redo the entire thing lol

yea the bed is really np with one person the cab is going to be a a bit harder to so alone

well i decided not to do it today, im gonna wait til tomorrow and call a local mechanic and see how much he'll charge to do it

hes pretty cheap(charged 150 for shocks and labor)

I don't know how many members live near you but you should jave invited people over to help and bought them pizza and beer. You would get the BL installed and prob get a show. LOL
