General 3" BL concerns

I have read A LOT abuot body lifting, and I have decided that I want to go that route rather than suspension. Reasons being money and what it will actually be used for. But before I buy anything and commit to doing the work, since this is a daily driver and ONLY vehicle at the moment, I want to be sure that I won't destroy the truck.

First: With adding the bodylift, I know there are many part of the truck that need to be extended. Does any of this have an adverse effect on the truck? I plan to have a truck until it dies and want anythin I do to be for the betterment of it, not just a hack job.

Second:I am currently running 275/55R16 tires, would I NEED to up the size? I'd rather not, but I want the truck to look proportional too. If anyone has pics of truck with a 3" lift and tires of that size, I'd love to see them.

Finally:Should I just save my money and go with a suspension lift in the near future? I know its a huge cost difference but is it the "better" thing to do?

Basically looking for advice from you all. I am new to modding and just looking to not mess anything up, most of you have trucks I only drea, about.

Thanks.

First. - No Adverse effect to the truck with just a body lift.

Second. - never heard of that size tire. However if its anything close to the stock size of 255/70/16 on our trucks you need to go at the very very minimum of 265/75/16(32x10.50x16) or 32x11.50x15 or the more common size 285/75/16(33x11.50x16) or 33x12.50x15

Finally - if you are planning on just using this as your daily driver I wouldnt worry about the suspension lift.

Ok. That was a mistype on my part. I have 255/70 R16. So you think it would look odd with the stock tires on it?

Duh, a lifted truck looks pretty dumb with stock tires. Save up so you can get 33s and body lift at the same time

See i dont think that looks terrible, and my tires would be about an inch bigger than that yet.

I have to ask though....what is an AAL?

add-a-leaf

Just a leaf that goes in the middle of the stock leaf pack, raises the vehicle up a inch or so.

255/70R16's are 3/4 inch SHORTER then a 245/75R16.

I'm ordering a 3" BL today along with some new rims and 285/75/16 tires. Should be here next week. I'll post some pics as soon as I get everything installed so you can get a little better idea of what it all looks like.

E-rated tires I assume? E-rated tires on a ranger = fail.

No I went with the new Falken Wild Peak A/T. Luckily for me, they're rated D at that size.
