i got a 99 ranger with a 03 front and i want a body lift for it but i want a 2" not 3. is there somewhere i can buy just the spacers and the front bumper lift? if i could only get 3" brackets i could just cut them down or something what else would i need beside spacers, front bumper lift brackets? i am not sure what i need or not need so any info guys?

 

I know that there is a steering extension involved which might give you trouble if you cut a kit down to 2 inch from 3inch. Also if you have a manual you need a shifter extension.

 

use hockey pucks to make the lift. 2 pucks = 2 inches

 

Pucks=no
they are not made to lift, they are made to slide across ice. cause once you drill through the pucks and then throw a bed and cab on top of them, big no no. you don't just slap them in there and call it good.

just order a PA body lift and cut it down to 2 inches, it has been done. why just the front bumper brackets, what about the rear. Yes you may run into a problem if you only use 2 inches of the 3 inches, but i don't know and if you have a manual you will need the shifter extension.

I don't know of any where you can put just the body lift spacers. I'd just suck it up and spend the 150 and order the PA BL. The 03 front end has nothing to do with what BL you will order.

 

If you glue the pucks in between 4 inch pvc pipe and seal the top and bottom, i feel that a hockey puck would work fine.
Just my opinion tho.
I would also go with a suspension lift insead of body. but they dont make a 2 inch for either.

Ewww....... I suppose you would want to use a good puck so thats 6 bucks but you need two for each mount so thats 12 bucks. There are what 8 or 10 mounts so thats 96-120 bucks. Plus pvc and stuff to make bumper brackets. Now you see why itz really just a better idea to buy the kit. Rangererv I'm not giving you a hard time at all. I'm just trying to point out that itz easier to buy the kit than fab your own. I think your idea of putting the pucks in PVC is a good idea but I question issues with the type of glue used in extreme weather conditions and other suck extremes.

 

It's 150 bucks, why would you need to save any more money to get 3" of lift? And why do you need only 2" again...?

money aint the issue, i just dont want it to be too much, i think that 3" body lift looks nice with 35's not 33's and i cant see paying 150 and cutting the thing all to hell, but so far that is going to be my only option

I guess since i work at a hockey arena im always thinking of hockey..lol.
And if i was to do the lift, i can get all 20 pucks for free...

Never said he had to do that lift or it was the best way.
Just giving out my ideas of that i would do if i only wanted a 2 inch lift.
