PA 3" body lift...

Just want to verify something here. I've put off doing the 3" body lift due to the gap it would create for the exhaust and the hitch. The exhaust could be adjusted but the hitch, to me, would look horrible hanging down 3 inches. I'm assuming there's no way around this other then leaving a 3" gap between your bumper and tailgate?

doesnt the lift kit come with bumper brackets? you can get the hitch welded up to where it needs to be, probably by any kind of metal fab shop.

You can get bumper brackets if the kit doesn't come with them and you can weld the hitch up higher. Also you can get the exhaust bent up or cut it off.

I'm going to have to look into this a little further. First thing is to crank the T-bars and see how it looks. If I'm happy with it, I probably won't do anything to it. But if I can get the local exhaust shop to tell me that the exhaust can be adjusted and find someone to adjust the hitch, I might consider it. Thanks for the ideas guys.

im about to do a body lift myself and i have already made arrangements with a performance shop to cut and re-weld my hitch.

jus find a shop, (usually a private shop... not pep-boys) and they can cut and weld it for you no problem.

Yea Summit is usually pretty cheap and they ship to my house within a day....but it's so darn fun to go up there. Like Christmas for gearheads lol
I have a few friends that do welding for a living, I'm going to see what they think regarding the hitch and I'm going to make some calls and find out about the exhaust. It's really not even the hitch that bothers me as much as the exhaust hanging down. There's a guy running around town in a Nissan with a body lift and the exhaust is hanging down....I don't know how he can deal with it looking like that lol
