questions about body lift
 

i have been reading about body lifts and im considering it to run 33's on my truck. couple of questions tho before i invest money in parts.

when you move the bumper up to the new location with the factory valance w/ lights does the factory tow hooks have to be removed or does the valance have to be cut?

same lines i was thinking of buying a front hitch for future use if i were to get a removeable winch would it still come out at the normal location between the hooks?

for the rear ive seen zabeard's made hitch...good work so far, so that isnt really in question. did read about the factory bumper cannot be used for towing, can heavier duty bracket be made just in case?

would anything on the firewall have to be adjusted or is that enough slack in all that hardware?

i know that the radiator has to be lowered, is it at more of a risk to be damaged or is it safe?

read about how you have to tie up or bend the ac, woudlnt the new bend stress it out?

can i finally reach the last plug on the pass side????

Seeing that you have an 01 4x4 offroad just like me, your tow hooks will have to be removed, or you will have to cut the valance. On bills (04lvl2) we didnt have to remove his hooks, but every other truck we did.

The front hitch would not come out in the normal spot, you are moving the body 3 inches higher then the frame, so things will not align the same.

Im sure you can make some kind of heavier brackets for the back bumper, but i would not reccomend doign that. I would just buy a hitch or make your own. The bumper seems very week after the lift.

With the P/A body lift kit, they give you all the hardwear to lengthen what ever is needed. abs lines and brake lines are fine from the factory. You have to extend the gas filler neck line which they give you in the kit, and a few grounds.

The radiator is still "safe" with it lowered. The valance covers it. I put a skid plate in the front on my truck so it is "more safe"

The a/c lines...i dont remember touching these or rebending them.

What plug on the passanger side are you talking about?

the spark plug.

o, i havent changed my plugs since the lift so i couldnt help you.. i no a few people have and said it was easier, but im sure they will chime in sometime.

its much easier to get to all the plugs through the fenders after the lift.

only reason you lower the radiator is for the mechanical fan to line up with the shroud.

i just installed an efan and now i think i can move the radiator back up but havnt tried yet or looked in to it.

the kit come WITH EVERYTHING you NEED to finish the lift.

bending the A/C line doesnt stress it any more and it seems to work fine. i think out of all the body lifts ive installed 4 now, i was the one that bent the a/c line on all of them, now i just grab it and bend it, its that easy.
