Quick 1" Body Lift Question

I see that all the links to 1" Body Lift suppliers in the Sticky dont work. The ebay store doesnt exist anymore. They have two different 1" blocks available here https://www.shopatron.com/index/706.2.2477.0.0.0.0, but I have no clue which one is used for the Rangers. Any help would be appreciated :biggthump

Either one will work fine one is just wider around then the other.. i would go for the wider one IMO.

actually IMO i wouldnt do a 1" at all but thats me...crank the damn T-bars more and install a 1" shackle be cheaper... but being i have already installed 1" body lift and god knows how many 3" body lifts now i think its a waste of time for 1"

btw Ian you live here in MI... in the summer if you ever go for the gusto and do a 3" body lift we can help you knock it out in now time... we are like the body lift central here lol

What do you plan on doing for bolts with the 1" bl?

you buy longer one's...

That'd be the obvious answer, thanks....just wondering if some of the stockers worked or not. Figure a grade 8 is about $3/ea that size, you can drop $40 or so in just bolts, $24 or so for the mounts, and still have to mess with your bumpers...

well you didnt get specific in your question come on now!!!

no stockers wont work if you read the 1" body lift sticky it explains everything about it..

you need longer bolts yes.. and yes you end up spending close to $100 for everything and your bumpers look moronic IMO...

when you could spend $160-200 for a 3" and it has everything OR crank the damn bars and shackle it... which will be about $40 cost for the shackle...

after installing one i will not do another again

I spent a whopping $67 total for my 1" BL...add $3 for the diamond plate i put to fill the rear bumper/tailgate gap.

The stock rear cab bolts were used in the front cab bolts on mine. I've sold 1" BL bodybolt sets for $35 shipped. There's been 4 members who've purchased them. If interested, shoot me a PM. They are grade 10.9(aka metric grade of grade 8). The bolts in the PA and Summit kits are grade 8.8(aka metric grade of grade 5).

There was a thread about this exact issue....do some searching on it and i believe the person ended up calling PA and spent 1.99 ea for the 1x3" blocks.

That is where I bought my blocks from. I got the 1" big blocks, they are 3" in diameter.

Thanks Jason. After you replied, and I went and looked at the sight again. I probably should have been able to tell based on the 1/2" hole in the middle too....

I've seen some steel rectangle blocks for sale. Are these better?

FullThrottle02 02-24-2009 06:32 PM

Yes, I wouldn't use steel blocks.
