Size of Lift

Hello All I'm new to the whole 4x4 lifting truck deal. I got a 2007 ford ranger fx4 level 2. Im looking into getting 33 12.5 r16 tires and Im trying to figure out the size of lift id need for full clearance? I was also wondering if the 12.5 tire would look better then the 11 or what not?? Or if it would be smarter to go to like a 32 11 or a 31 11? Any tips or info would be great. I am also aware if I get 12.5 width id need new wheels as well since the stock ones aren't wide enough.

A 3" body lift would be the cheapest way to clear the 33's completley. Its possible to do it stock but you will encounter some rubbing. I would recommend new wheels... and a 33x12.50 will be fine.. But i thought they stopped making level 2's in like 04?

nope i got a level 2 :) thanks for the info tho i was thinking a 33 and yeah i know i need new wheels. I cant picture the difference between 33 11 and 33 12.5.... lol I also thought the bigger ones looked nicer.... Is it easy to apply a body lift yourself or should i bring it into a shop?
