Tried to start it this morning and it wouldnt start. I had the battery and altenator checked last wk and they were both fine. Cleaned the corrosion off the cables and everything. I have no lights and all it will do is make a clicking noise in the cab. If i let it sit for along time my dome light and instrument cluster will light up but as soon as i turn the key it all goes out. The only light i can see after that is my parking brake in my ins cluster and it is very dim. it is the 2.5l if that is any help

would that stop me from getting any power, like my lights?

 

yea if your starter is frozen it will be sucking power from everything(high current draw)hence the dimming lights

 

could be the battery cables. I had the same problem once and I checked EVERYTHING. I scratched my head for days over it. I finally decided the cables were the only thing left. They looked fine but I went ahead and replaced them since they were old anyway. Its been fine ever since.
