1443 Grief

Had a P1443 on my 96 Ranger 2.3 stick shift, YouTube suggested the old evap control valve. An EZ $50 fix, Worked like crazy on the video> Did the deed and after 25 miles the check engine light popped up again. P1443 again. I refuse to throw parts at stuff so any suggestions will be much appreciated, Thank you.

Pretty comprehensive list of faults and fixes. The valve may not work, based on where it was made. You may be able to test using 12v and a section of
hose to blow through. Connect 12v to the terminals, and attempt to blow through. I think it should open(allow flow) when energized. If it checks,
then you need to check the other hoses for blockage, and so on as listed. The actual canister could be blocked, one possible cause I just thought of
would be if the canister got flooded and is full of liquid... which would block(maybe) flow of evap gases from the tank.
