The big 30

Calculated out the gas mileage today..... 32.1x mpg.

98 Octane rocks

blkb3 Jan 12, 2006 06:59 PM

wow

Bigwill41 Jan 12, 2006 08:20 PM

:stupid:

W1CKY Jan 12, 2006 08:26 PM

Whoa whoa whoa, how the heck did you manage that?

Pretty fawkin sweet.

zabeard Jan 12, 2006 08:28 PM

that wont last long. im pretty sure running 98 octane on a stock truck engine isnt good. plus by the time you factor in the extra cost it wouldnt really matter if you used 87 and got 25mpg or if you got 32 out of 98 because they prolly equal out.

plus 87 is alot more avalible than 98. id just run the 87.

Yes, but I have 3 and a half 55 gallon drums of it, which will go bad by summer. Using it instead of buying gas. Drove very very very grandma like. Its boring.

MrRngr94 Jan 12, 2006 10:04 PM

wow. And I'm only getting 18 out of mine.

Skyjacker_44 Jan 12, 2006 11:10 PM

i get around 32 on 87 octane....tear down the top of ur motor and have it bored out and you'll get better milege lol :)

RangerBoy03FX4 Jan 12, 2006 11:27 PM

hell im getting around 15-16 out of my 4.0. what am i doing wrong. (aside of having my foot burried in the gas pedal).

andrew

RangerBoy02FX4 Jan 12, 2006 11:31 PM

i get 12-14 regardless what octane im using

wanted Jan 13, 2006 07:22 AM

4.0 won't get that kind of mileage.

I normally get ~27 in mine. Do a full tune up, you will be surprised.

It doesnt matter how I drive, I average 14.5. I can drive with my foot to the floor, or drive like a grandma, it never changes. Premium fuel doesn't change it at all either.

2003 Silver FX4 Level II 4.0L

You have a 4 liter, I have a 2.3.

LILBLUE04FX4L2 Jan 14, 2006 12:28 PM

I know you are getting that fuel for free, but
you are absolutely doing damage to your engine and emissions systems running 98 octane fuel in regular use

black-n-blue Jan 14, 2006 12:35 PM

wish mine was a stick... would actually like the mpg i was getting.. :P im getting 13 right now (without recal. my odo..) which i'm guessing is really about 15.. i might be wrong though..

black-n-blue Jan 14, 2006 12:35 PM
