Intermittent starting issues
I've read the other post relating to this topic but none have seemed to solve my issue. 1995 ranger xlt 2.3l it's a fairly new issue I would drive for a bit stop at a store or where ever. Come back 20-30 minutes later to a no start but it would try. Every now and again I would get a sputter and hear a faint backfire and again nothing. At first I was thinking it was a fuel issue because I would mess with the relays and it would start. I was able to do this a few times but now my luck has stopped. I've jumped the fuel relay and pressure was shooting gas out of the test valve but it would still act as if it wasn't getting any fuel to the engine. It has only been these last two times where I've had to call out a tow truck to get home because it's showed no hope... Last time I'm not sure why it started. I hooked up my drill battery to my car battery because it was dead and it started right away no issue but. I suppose I might try the same again to see if for some reason my battery is the cause however I'm doubtful on that. I'm at a loss to what it could be if it isn't my fuel...
P.S. my ignition is drilled out. I start the car by pushing my ignition switch to the start position and stop it by doing the opposite. I've had no issues because of it but might be information that could be useful? I obviously do not have a chipped key..
Codes that are being thrown are all unrelated and have been showing ever since I've owned this truck prior to this issue.
Bank 1 o2 sensor issue and EGR flow excessive/insufficient (both at the same time)
