2.3 exhaust

just got a 40 series put on my truck today and it sounds good when you start it up and are in low rpms but when you get over 3000 rpms it starts to sound like a ricer. does any one else have this problem

nopper i have it on mine duals too it sounds nice in high RPM's here is a vid of mine yours sound like this?

do you have it dumped or pipes out of it?
im about to put a flowmaster si/do on my truck and i hope it doesnt sound like rice.

zach what excatly are the dimensons on your piping....dan you dont have tips that might be some of it cause you have the same size coming out the rears..

i have 2.5'' pipe coming from the cat to the muffler then from the muffler i have 2'' pipe without tips
i was thinking about having the 2.5'' pipe switched with 2''

being stock piping is 2" and 2.5" is over kill. also tips like 18" long like mine give it a lower tone. also i have 2" all the way to the muffler then 2.25" dual out

so should i get that 2.5 changed to 2'' and get my tips put on

I have the gibson exhauset on my truck with no tailpipe. I just installed the pipe that goes over the axel and left it at that. As dumb as it sounds, it started to sound better after I put some miles on it.

thats normal. takes a lil bit for it to settle.
