Evaporative canister problem

I searched all over the internet looking for a picture or video of a evap system on a 1996 ranger and can't find it. I need to know if my system is missing anything. A cap, a hose, anything. Thanks for the help. I'd upload a picture of mine but it doesn't look like that's an option from a phone on the this site

Welcome to the forum

Yes, you are missing a description of the problem, lol.
And what engine you have in your 1996 Ranger, it can be helpful

Anyway go here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/sohc-2...cement-106246/

There is a diagram in that thread of what parts are involved.
The EVAP system is in the engine bay and gas tank area, so there is no picture of the whole system
