Icon5 Does Autolite = Motorcraft?

I've been getting my advice here and my parts at Advance or Auto Zone. I'm into replacing spark plugs and wires right now. Most of the time Motorcraft is recommended but Advance Auto Parts has Autolite. For reasons that are unclear now, I have a sense that they are one and the same. Is that true or almost true?

Thanks, Zack. I'm goin' for the Autolite wires today. I changed the four easy plugs on my 2.5L last night and found two damaged connectors at the plug end. I guess I'll bite the bullet on the intake side today.

I did the intake side plugs and wires yesterday. Forum rules prevent me from properly expressing myself, but I have a feeling you know what I might say.
Second time for the plugs for me. Whoever posted 6" extension, swivel and another 6" extension for number 4 plug...is a friend!
The number 3 and 4 wires were really difficult.
I used the Autolite Professional Series wire set, part number 96844 for $46.96 from Advance Auto Parts. They look, feel and fit right. I recommend them.
The "plain jane" Ranger is running really good today and I put something over a hundred miles in it today, almost all highway.

Thank you guys, for responding to my post for information.
I do appreciate it.
I would hate to buy the wrong thing and have to do that job over again.
Tom
