One thing after another
Hey ive been posting a lot lately and have had great feedback and i thank you all. Now this might be a dumb question but what type of nut and bolt setup is used when connecting the exhaust mani to the exhaust pipe flange? Ive replaced my manifold, and the nuts and bolts that were on it weren't oem and i cant seem to get em in the holes without maybe having to shave a bolt head or shave some of the manifold.

Depends on the year and engine, but usually there are 3 Studs in the manifold, they have course threads that go into the manifold, then fine threads on the exposed studs for the nuts that are used to hold flange on flaired exhaust pipe to the manifold.
But there are this type as well: https://www.summitracing.com/int/sea...-size/2-3l-140 Bolts with springs that thread into the exhaust manifold, the springs allow the engine to shift left and right from torque without putting stress on exhaust pipe |
Thanks found a bolt that works with the threads on the manifold! Solid now
