PCV valve anywhere?

I bought a PCV vavle for my 89 ranger, 2.3L, 4wd. Ok so i looked in the book and it said to remove air cleaner and its under it, so did that and theres no PCV valve there! Ok so after looking around the valve cover and rear of engine the PCV is no where to be found! So i called my local Ford dealer and was told it was on the drivers side rear of the engine, towards the top, so all i found there was what i beleive was the Oil sending unit? or gauge? but anyways, i got on alldatadiy.com and on all their charts it dont even show one! So is there even one on this model of Ranger? You would think there was considering they sold me one (having a part # for one) and theres 15 diff sources saying to look 15 diff places! I offered my Brother-in-Law $100 to find the damn thing and he could not find it either! lol, Does any one have a clue where the PCV valve is on this truck?

On drivers side under the back of intake manifold. Big black rubber hose goes under manifold. hard to see but it's there.

I'm not real sure, just depends on if you can get in there or not, basically depends on how big your hands are! LOL.

i found it and went to replace it and the valve they gave me was curved, there is no room and not enough hose to use the curved PCV valve's! So i bought a GM PCV valve and it fit perfect! Thanks for the help man!

why not get the correct part. the engine will blow up if you put GM parts in it.

HA the motor may blow up

You had to take the intake manifold off to get at it?
