Performance Mods for 2.5L Lima?

I want to do get some performance mods but can’t find any for my 98 2.5L Lima. I have an egr Valve delete and am going to do a top speed limiter delete. Looking 4 headers rn, anybody kno of some links for some headers? + some other mod suggestions?

Since it's the same engine used in the Mustang, that is a direction one can go to get information. There's a link somewhere in the forums here. I did a quick search but couldn't find it. I did find some discussions online. https://www.allfordmustangs.com/thre...grades.172800/

Please keep us posted of any benefits you find. Also anything that was a waste of time/money.

Edit: Oops, just saw you have 2.5l, not the 2.3l. So disregard!

Things to look into ive heard, but never done:

^^^^^^^
AMR500 (the one for really small engines) Supercharger setup on the A/C Brackets
-------
Swapping to the older turbo mustang 2.3 setup
--------
Carb swapping, then putting in custom cams with adjustable cam gear to support headers and a ported intake.

Imo none of this is worth the cost. But sharing is caring. The 4Cyl is fantastic stock and fuel efficient. I'll also add its not "convenient" to engine swap. From what I have gathered swapping the 6cyls etc from other rangers is about the same as trying to swap a Mazda Skyactive engine into a Geo Metro. Even though you'd think it'd be easy with hookups apparently it's not.

Just my personal research so far. Look for yourself and see what you think.
