Throttle Body?

I used the search function up till about page 10 and did not find anything. So I'm asking here. 98 2.5 I need a throttle body. I had mine off to change the freekn 8 plug ****ttttttttttt, it's all gummed up. It's my only means of trans so I'm going to it right and just get a new one. I'm having no luck finding any. It seems there all for six bangers. Any suggestions?

Try to clean it with carb cleaner for now. Sounds like you could use a seafoam treatment.

Yup :-) I usually do it every 2 or 3 oil changes.. . so roughly every 10,000 miles.

Does anyone have a pic of the part on the throttle body that you clean? Also what types of cleaner is acceptable to use?

all of it

you should be able to just remove the air intake tube at the throttle body and spray it with...you guessed it...throttle body cleaner. sorry for the mild sarcasm. anyway, use the throttle mechanism to open and close the butterfly valve while your spraying. it shouldn't need any scrubbing. just let it evaporate for a minute before hooking up the tube and firin' it up.
