i'v done a cherrybomb, took out 2 rear leaf springs, and added fuel injector cleaner.

I put in an intake that i made myself and i put in a K&N airfilter. And recently i just got a flowmaster put in and i also took out a leaf spring.

now i got platnum plugs, holes in the air box, fram air filter, and just took out a long coiled up spring out of the air tube.

4 banger mods

I have a 2.3L Xlt and i recently just put a 40 series flowmaster on it with the sport truck exaust. I also have a K&N air filter and a cold air intake. I thinks thats all i can do any other ideas ???

bought my '88 xlt 2.3l for $1000.... replaced the spark plug wires and sold it for $1500

kurts kustom motorsports air intake, removed air silencer, 40 series flow dumped, electric fan, bosch platnum +2 plugs, wires.......next mod 5.0

Ahhhh, ya'll know. B&M 871 supercharger, HEI ignition, Dual Holly Avenger carbs, 14.7:1 comp. ratio, roller rockers, Comp Cams Xtreme cam, Forged crank, Forged Keith Black pistons(custom fabricated of course), All this in a '01 XL.

All the above content is completely untrue, but sure as helll would be cool in a sleeper '01 xl!!

But hell, gotta love the 4 bangers. Espicially the 2.5 Race Rocket stocker in my brother's truck. Gosh that thing barks them in 3rd gear.

All I've done is a K&N box filter. I got a new cone filter w/ an adapter so I can do a cold air intake (if possible)

It would be ok at the track, not streetable or for long pulls.

My 2.3 is stock, with a lot of the wear parts replaced. Thought about throwng juice on it when I first got it (have 2 or 3 complete setups collecting dust), to give the truck the power to pull the skin off of rice pudding. But 27mpg axed that idea.

throttle cable, custom civic air intake, exhaust repiped to 2.25..i think, high flow cat and supertrapp exhaust.
Then have 86 turbo coupe motor in storage for my next major mod :D

Switch out the NA motor for a fresh 2.3 turbo with intercooler.

i guess to each his own. But everytime i say motor swap everyone say 5.0. The turbo motor is cheaper and just what i want at this time

i know about the turbo motor my father works a ford back in the 80's he worked for DST make prototype stuff. he was one of the guys that worked on the turbo motor. its a nice motor but has its limitations plus you cant trade cubes for cubes 2.3L to 5.0L i'll take the larger one lol...
