if you sunk it that deep.....gut the interior, change ALL fluids(crankcase, axles, transmission, transfer case, brake fluid, coolant everything). It's highly possible you fried many of the electronics controlling your engine...your pcm. Fried your air-bag controller probably too. MAF, IAC, TPS,...any and all sensors could be comprimized.

I was looking for a pic I had found before that I think was of a Taco that had the same thing happen to him except all you could see was about half of the roof.

did you take dist. cap of and dry it out?

To tell if you got water in your oil just losen your drain plug enough for the oil to run thru the threads. You don't have remove it. The water will seperate and go straight to the bottom, so it'll be the first thing to come out.

Check your fuses on the airbag, really you should go thru the whole fuse box and check them all. You'll throw fuses before you burn up the electronics.

Another thing is let the truck idle, get it warmed up and let is just sit there and idle. It will help dry out anything under the hood.

Yes sir it was a F-250. The caption for the picture was Sheena Poe, left, comforts her husband, Ken Poe, Saturday night as the high tide claims the couple's 1999 Ford F-250 truck on the beach in Kenai. Ken Poe got the truck stuck following a drive on the beach and the 20-foot tide rose before he could get help. "I would have to say, don't go on the beach unless you know high tide," Poe said.

Pics or it never happened!!!!

LOL just kidding. That sucks man but yeah if your gonna wheel in water make sure you check whats under it. Even still with mud check it. I never check the trails I go on but thats cause I know who goes there and the biggest truck in my town has 35's so its not a problem. Well couple guys got 44's but don't wheel.

Thats why i like my old truck....

i've had it in where water was level with the hood, and nothing happened

i removed the stock airbox with an old school hot rod air cleaner so its not suckin air straight from the grill.

i had to replace ignition computer (19.95 at autozone) about a week later
because it would die randomly though...

You might want to invest in a snorkel if you want to ever do it again....along with waterproofing your electronics, then you could have some fun.
