Your TPS(throttle position sensor) may be unplugged or going bad.
IAC(idle air control) valve may not be working
"pumping" the gas pedal on a fuel injected engine doesn't do the same thing it did with a carburetor engine.
It just lets in more air, not more fuel.
MAF sensor may need to be cleaned.
Computer already lets in more air for starting
