Turbo on 3.0 ranger??? LOOK LOOK!!!!

So, I have been contemplating a turbo on my ranger. I know they have super chargers but I like the feel of a turbo a little more. mainly because I used to race imports... Its about to be paid of in a couple months... then I can have my way with it!!!! or my other interest is to throw a V8 in it! has anyone done this with out having to push the firewall back? I don't mind altering the motor mounts but i don't want to move the fire wall. I know im jumping the gun a bit and i should finish the rear end suspension 1st but I'm just throwing some of my ideas out there to here your feed back.... some of you on this forum have really good insight and i look forward to hearing your thoughts!!!!!

you could swap a 5.0 out of a explorer it fits right in there without moving any mounts

There are also a couple turbo 3L's around. One rear mount and one under-hood.

the only thing about the explorer 5.0 is that I have a 2005 ranger... does the explorer 5.0 still exists in 2005 - newer? the motor would have to be same year or newer... to stay street legal.

doesnt have to be an exploder 5.0 as long as the vehicle that you want the motor out of is the same year as yours... pick it. Since the 5.0 was hacked in 01 you are SOL. if it were me Id go for a modular motor I love how they sound.

hmm... if I werent so skeptical about remote mount turbos Id prolly try that... no joke. Thats not a bad price for all that. Only one thing for you to do... just try it.. dont like it... sell it and try something else.

That kit isn't made for a ranger in any way and will require a professional install where the installer will toss the weak parts and have to fab up parts and blah blah. There's a reason it's on ebay.
