2000 XLT 3.0- what are the 2 hoses one the top here? with the blue cap.

this isnt mine but mine are rusting away just got a better pic so i can see what im working with and what its supposed to look like. can get a pic of mine to show if needed. just need a little help trying to fix this problem of mine.

Each of my heater hoses have a T in it with a vacuum sized hose running to those ports. Auto part store replacement heater hoses do not have Ts with vacuum lines nor do they sell Ts like the one on my truck. This is likely what happened with your truck. I would just put caps on both ports. (I have no idea why this doesn't cause coolant to be sucked into the intake).
