2003 3.0L Ranger Tremor
Daughters truck. AC diagnosis said vacuum, sure enough the line from the bottle to the engine manifold is severed.
cant find anything in Ford service manual or online that pinpoints where the line connects to the intake manifold. New line on its way from Tasca, also bought the reservoir just in case. so where does the vacuum line connect to the intake manifold? |
Likely over to the driver's side of the upper intake plenum, near the idle air control valve.
There's another port for a vaccum line at the fuel pressure dampener, but that has nothing to do with the ac. There's a port for the heater control valve which is part of the A/C. The rest go into the cab underneath the evaporator/blower motor housing. |
Thought everyone might be interested is where the vacuum connects now that i have this fixe. it comes from under the shroud for the throttle blade atuator on the front of the engine. Ford vacuum tube is less that 3/16" so I used 5/32" washer fluid tubing and shrink wrap and eletrical tape and moved the line up a bit
