2004 power steering pressure hose common replaces item?

Well i guess not!! I went to San Marcos to visit my friend when i got there it was fine. 2 hours later i moved it and noticed a leak under the truck.

It was a stress crack in the power steering pressure hose.

well any way i was thinking this is a ranger a pretty common truck were i live in Texas any auto parts place will have it (i was wrong) no one had it car quest was able to order it at 7:30am and get it to the local store at 12pm so long story short

its probably because its a 2004.

Is it common for one of those to go or was it just a fluke?
