are thos flex-a-lite fans good, the ones that you don't need a fan clutch and it suspositly cools more the faster your engine goes, I had one for my supra but I never put it on and I've been wondering ever since..my guess is its lould and doesn't work as good as the normal fan

A open hood (i.e. Cowl Induction, Ram-Air) will help keep the underhood temps down a bit.
You can also try a additive like Purple Ice. I put that in two trucks, my 97 and my dads 98. No difference at all in my Dads truck, and for mine, it takes a little longer to get to running temp (+/- 15 min extra) and it keeps it a little cooler. Maybe 5 or 10*.

i just put one in my 93 before i sold it. the ranger radiators havent changed much over the years. hell im quit sure i could take the one out of my old 86 2.9 V6 and put it in my 2001. i paid $40 for the exploder radiator from a junkyard and compaired it to the stock one before i installed it

if you take out the inner fender and the wheels are exposed to the engine bay wont it get really dirty and during rain get your engine bay all wet...doesn't seem like a good trade off even though my engine bay isn't super clean

I understand the portion of the country the OP is at, gets pretty damn hot and not wet in the summer.
