Several 2000 XLT 3.0 V6 2WD problems
Ok so had this since september, and a couple things are starting to act up.
1: My friend said he heard a slight exhaust leak from passenger front. He does automative stuff at college so I trust him to not bull be.
2: Went trailing last night, going through a small town in-between trails driving maybe 40mph-ish the truck just died. Not the battery (i have a new battery and alternator) but the engine just shut off. No power steering, just kinda coasted into a parking lot nearby but it started up right away perfectly and has been fine since. Haven't done any town driving since though. All country backroad and highway.
3: Everytime I get out of the truck after parking it I swear to god I smell burning. Like just that over heating smell, and I felt the tires to see if the brakes were rubbing and the tires/rims were not hot at all. I know I need new brake pads and tires though, they both haven't been changed in a year or two.
4: How can I fix the damn door ajar sensor for the passenger side. Every slight right turn sets it off, even when someone leans on the door while driving it goes off.
5: Tires are angled out, very noticeably, I will attach pics of the front end, I just think its an alignment thing. Maybe new bj's or something idk? Going slow there in a knock in the front left tire, like every rotation theres a thud, very noticeable. Also a lot of heavy shaking and vibration at various speeds and while braking.
Anyone help on anything?

#1 Exhaust manifold leak can cause engine to run rich on that bank, so should be looked at.
#3 above could be why you smell burning odor, running rich causes Cats to heat up more than normal to burn off the excess fuel, you notice any change in MPG?
#2 could be fuel pump shut off, but.......when you said it started right up was that after turning key off and then on again, or did you just try to start it without turning key off?
Or did you have to turn key off and on a few times before it started right up?

Same for your 2000, common issue, can often be cured by spraying lube in the switch.
#5 Gotta get that looked at, obvious toe out can be many things but nothing good, and the vibrations mean some thing is loose or worn out, and the longer it vibrates the more other parts will wear out, so there is a time factor involved.
You can jack up a wheel and see what movement there is in and out and side to side, maybe narrow down what needs attention but front end shops will usually do a free estimate of what needs attention to do a proper alignment.
