3.0 hesitates to start.

So I think my engine hates me. Every time I go and start it, it hesitates, taking it like 5 seconds for it to crank over, then finally starts. What could possibly be the problem?

It just takes a while to start, but when its warm, it starts right up. I'm guessing its the battery, and not the fuel. The battery is like 3-4 years old.

i have a brand new battery in mine and it still has the 5 sec hesitation.....i think its more of a fuel issue.

Mine's Been Doing that all Winter, It's not so bad in colder weather, but when I start it after it's been sitting, it takes that 5 sec cranking over to start up. I had it checked out b4 winter and the mechanic said it was my check valve in my fuel pump. It just takes time to build up fuel pressure when the check valve is going out. Hence the longer crank time. Replace the fuel pump. And every thing should be good. Let me know if that helps!~

I had the same problem. I replaced the battery with a higher amp one and it fires right up.
