New Clutch

My sister's ranger (2003 Edge 3.0L) needs a new clutch. She doesn't want to take to it a shop so me and a friend will be putting in a new one for her. I know that a Haynes manual will help a ton, so I'll be buying one of those soon. Does this clutch look any good?

It doesn't look bad and the price isn't bad but if i was you i would also get a new slave cylinder when you replace it as well as check the flywheel for any hot spots or groves depending on how worn out her clutch disk is worn out.

I planned on getting the slave from somewhere local so it'd have a warrenty. And her clutch is completely gone, I'm pretty sure there's about no surface left on it.

Then i would give the flywheel a good check and if in dought get it cut or buy a new one becauce if its shot it will wear out the new one at a faster rate

Just buy a new flywheel. Its $60. I got a flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and slave cylinder when I did mine. Was amazing when I put it all in. Felt like a new truck.

t/o bearing is built into the slave assy...

never heard of that brand...if it were me, i'd do a Luk brand. Its what came from the factory. As for the slave, I'd do a Raybestos...ive had the most success with a Raybestos.

dont forget a new pilot bearing.
