The weights I posted were without myself, bottle, tire, jack, 60/40 bench, on empty for gas... The lightest I have seen was Gerry and Wed from RPS , they weighed in at Norwalk speedway to the sum of 3250lbs.

I'm in agreement with Q. Outside of Doug ( He has a whole network of parts and his own facilities ) , You can spend 3000 on that beloved whipple. I'll pick up a salvaged 4.0 and hook up a basic Zex kit. Game over.

I thought it was more? I about bolted on an intake and exhaust ( tuned ) and beat that! You sure its only 200? I thought Whipple advertised like 230 or something?

Im not trying to add alot of horse power to my truck so i can try to beat other cars or trucks...im doing because i want to have something that no one else has. Ok so what...when im all said and done with the mods i want i'll be around 230rhp. But seriously, I have never seen a s/c ranger and much less even heard of there being one until a couple of days ago when i was reading on this site. I do have something to prove and its not to beat other people...and i dont like being called a ''kiddo''

with just the whipple and no other modor mods you can keep up to a stock 4.0L when justin had his truck with the whiple we lined up to each other at the drag strip all he had was a whipple suppercharger... i have a 4.0L with just the maf mod who knows how much more power that gives you... plus we had the same things removed and justin is 2wd and I am 4wd. Justins time is on the left my time is on the right heres the slip.... my opinion the whipple is just not worth it unless you get it for like 500 bucks

Justin ran a 16.6?!?!? Take out the r/t 16.3?!?!?! I know his truck was a manual as well.. he KNOWS how to drive too..

"But seriously, I have never seen a s/c ranger and much less even heard of there being one until a couple of days ago when i was reading on this site."

I would hazard a guess that 70% of the rangers on this site are of the ' offroad' nature. Theres a few ground pounders and a couple of speed-types, but there in rare numbers compared to most.

"I do have something to prove and its not to beat other people..."

Then why not go ' functional ' with your mods .. or for something in the appearence theme?

Here is a link to RPS on Dougs Whipple RWHP That will give you an idea of what needs to be done to get more power and what rwhp you will be at.

yeh hes got some issues cuz most people run 17 flat with a crappy reaction time on a regular cab 3.0 thats exactly why the whipple isnt for me its basicly no good til you put a ton of $ into it im positive i could run faster than a 16.6 with a 60 shot and a chip and exhaust

I just dont get how adding that much horsepower and that much torque would only shave off .2 off your 1/4 mile time...theres something wrong here.

Justins truck is/was a 4x4 , But I would expect more bang for the buck then what whipple is offering.

Even with a pully.. 200 rwhp... for 2500$?!?!?

Justin actually had a 2wd 5sp. manual truck w/ 3.73s, I believe he had the jba headers, an electric fan, and the spec clutch as well.

This will give you an idea of what he thought about his SC'd 3.0. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/352315

[email protected] stock to the airfilter, full weight, supercab, don't remember how much gas it had, 1400 miles

And Leo was even faster than that stock. 15.6 I think.
