3.0L unavailable for 09 Ranger
Ford is showing no 3.0 for the 09 models!!!!!!!!!!!!! What happened to this engine?? I have 3.0 in 06 model is this a good engine??? Is this a high mileage engine. I also have a 2.3L with 274,000 miles with no major problems. I know the 2.3L is a good one. Thanks in advance for replies.

yeah its sad to see it go but its a really old workhorse... its really simple pushrod engine... Im glad that Ford finally did away with it Im not being negative about it but it just needs to be put out of its misery. I love my 3.0 its a great engine and it can really take a beating.... it may have the gas mileage of a v8 but the horsepower of a honda but it is really reliable and there are plenty of parts out there to repair them if something were to go wrong... I love mine I wish I had more torque but this engine surprises me everyday

Do you lie often?
This is what you posted before:
To put new tires on cost what.... $500-$1000 depending on what you get. You have a brand new truck with brand new tires.. why spend money, to save pennies. I get 20 mpg regularly out of my 07. I say don't bother.

Do you have nothing better to do?? Do you always have to be right?? I wasn't lying at all. I get an average of 20mpg and have gotten up to 25 mpg. My point was that the 3.slow gets that same mileage as the 4.0 and has the power of a 4 banger. You seem to like to side step questions and ask your own while trying to prove someone else wrong. And that post if I recall, was trying to convince someone from putting on different sized tires to try and gain .5 mpg. I ask AGAIN what is your point. 22mpg isn't that great. The new silverado's are rated for 27mpg highway. I really fail to see the relevance of your post. Other than maybe you haven't been able to face the truth yet, that the 3.0 gets v-8 mileage and has 4 cylinder power. And thus you and your OEM is best are in denial
