3rd brake light leak.
 

So where can I get a new one, or is there a way to stop the leak ?


ford wants 57.xx and change for it, dont want to pay that hehe.



It leaks pretty bad, not severe but enough to annoy me.

I have an extra 3'rd brake light off of my truck. If it'll fit... I'll PM you.

You need the gasket that goes around it, not a new light...i just put some silicone type stuff around it to seal it....it might not be leaking that bad but that water will get inside and mildew inside the truck..

what happened is you tighted down the screws to much which made that gasket flat letting water in instead of runnin around and outside the truck

I never touched mine i had it for almost a year and it did it....they just go bad, they are not real gaskets its like foam...it was all twisted and faling down in the light...I put silicone on the gasket and put it back, it was a PITA to change my light bulb though...

^ I changed all the lights, wasnt to tough. But yes I never touched it and it was leaking, does anyone know if an 01-03 modle brake light will fit my 97 ?

I was curious what a standard-issue 3rd brake light has to do with 3.0's too...

and i just wanted a fast answer, if it bothers you so much if effects you somebody move it.

yeah a newer 3rd brake light will fit your 97, even an F250-350 light will.
