Hey everyone, having a pretty annoying issue here. Truck is a 89 xlt with a 2.9 and a 5speed, just picked it up a few weeks ago from my brother in law and absolutly love the thing! So the problem is, while in neutral or in gear at a stop if i turn the steering wheel the truck will want to hunt/drop in idle then die. Now if i was to turn the steering wheel slowly, it will hunt for idle, but the closer i get to full lock it will eventually kill its self. Fluids are at proper levels, no abnormal noises or bindings on the pulley. Did quite a few searches but have not come up with any solutions or problems that fit my description but i would appreciate any input or guidance in the right direction. This wont happen while in gear and moving however or if im applying gas, everything works as it should.


btw im new here and im sure I'll get some flak but i can take it. I'm just here to learn as much as i can on this new platform and make some good friends without pissin too many of you off ��
