Another what is this part thread

As the title says, I have this part that isnt connected to anything but a wire harness. There are two hoses coming off of it but they have been cut. Any help is appreciated. Also, I have a hose similar to a dryer connection coming off my airbox, looks like it connects to exhaust but it isnt connected to anything and theres nothing around it to connect to.

Nothing?

It's your DPFE sensor. The hoses go to the EGR tube that connects the exhaust to the EGR valve. The hoses are silicon, to handle the heat from the EGR pipe. Rubber hose will melt right off. You should be gettin a CEL code with it disconnected.

The hose coming from your air box is to heat the air in very cold climates since you live in Ga you don't need it.

Does look like a DPFE...
