Its about time for me to get exhaust put on my truck and i was wanting to hear some of the other trucks on this site. I dont know if anyone can put soundclips on here but it would be much appreciated. I went to Kinney's Exhaust. If yall arent from TX or even the south then yall probably dont know about Kinney's. Its supposedly one of the best places to go in the southeast. But anyways, i went there and they were telling me to go with the Magnaflow and their custom x-pipe which will run me about $600 plus tax. They steered me away from Flowmaster saying it was more of a raspy sound and that it wouldnt be the sound i want. Ive never dealt with exhaust on trucks and especially Rangers so please help out with suggestions and sound if you can.

 

well i can tell you flowmasters are not raspy on our trucks... i have a flowmaster 40 series single in dual out with 2 1/4 pipes and 3 in tips... its got a nice deep sound... i only paid about $175 installed for everything... i dont know too much about the prices of mangaflows but $600 seems very steep

I had a borla on my 4.0

 

The exhaust they quoted me for included high flow cats, true duals, magnaflow muffler (which had an x-shaped flow through pattern inside), along with the 3 inch tips. Kinney's is said to be,"The hardest to get but the best to have." To tell you the truth i think if i may do future mods than i will probably end up going with this set up. The only thing im hesitant about is the muffler. I have never heard the magnaflow on a V-6 and i'm not sure it will sound good. Everyone points me toward the flowmaster...im confused. lol

 

You dont need TRUE DUALS on your v6 truck. It would hurt more than it would help.

i dont even think true duals is possible on our trucks without some modification. at least not with where the 4.0L tank sits. dont know about the other ones. keep the duals for the cars. go y-pipe SI/DO.

Does anyone have any info or sound clips of a Gibson on a Ranger. Im looking at the extreme dual to put on my 2002 3L V6. Any suggestions?

Like Leo said.....BORLA!!!!!!!!! you loose power with flowmaster.....Borla you get the awesome sound, AND a power increase!
