Icon5 check engine light flashing and truck losing power..help?

Okay I got on the interstate and was merging over and all of a sudden my check engine light started flashing and the truck started losing power. So I pulled over and after a minute of sitting it went away and everything seemed fine. So I went ahead and it hasn't happened again so far. Any ideas on what could of caused it?

No battery light. Just Check engine like and it was flashing. it hasn't acted up since then. Drove it about 20 miles after it had happened and seemed to be running fine.

flashing mil would be a misfire of some sort. Either spark (coil, crank sensor, coil pack, wires, plugs), or fuel related (injector(s), fuel filter, fuel pump, etc....since it went away, its gonna be intermittent to an extent.
