... I think you are missing the point of Gil's and my posts
you can have steel braided brake lines because electricity is not running through there, that doesn't seem like the smartest idea to insulate something electrical with another conductive material.
Both Zach's and Bill's links give you Colored NONconductive material insulated plugwires...

Im guessing you should buy some header wrap??? you shouldnt have a problem with wires melting? maybe you have a lean condition?? vac. leak? maf dirty? clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump???
