battery cable replace...

Hey all - See a lot of corrosion on my + battery termininal which will intermittently cause my truck to not start. Clean it off - jiggle it around and will usually work. Once I had to peal back some of the 'shielding' and clean where the cable and connector meet. From what I understand - this is probably a cable issue - not a battery. Correct me if I'm wrong. Just looking at the battery cables it looks like a pain to replace the cables and Haynes doesn't give a lot of detail. not a problem or is it pretty tough to get the cables where they need to go?

Heres what I would do

Get a new end for the cable and take a wire brush to the battery post and put some de-ox on the battery post so it doesn't corrode.

Just buy a new cable. You don't have to trace the current ones back very far to change them .
