If i were to get the Borla muffler how would i install it? Do i take it to a shop and then would run new pipes and weld it together? And what it a resonal diameter size?

Unless you can weld, yes take it to a local muffler shop. You want to go with piping from 2.25 to 2.5 inches in diameter. I have 2.25 and it worked out great.

I bought the borla off ebay for about $90 shipped. I think that if your going to do anything, buy the muffler separate from the muffler shop or you are going to pay a lot more.

Thanks alot. I didn't know much about exhaust. This way it should be cheaper than buying a whole exhaust or even a cat back.

No problem. I'm still learning too and this site has helped tremendously. And yes it should be a lot cheaper and you should get the same or close to the same results as a full exhaust.

I just bought the borla pro sx muffler on ebay last night. It was $91 with shipping. Cant wait to get it to a shop and run some new tubing on it. I will try and get a sound clip up also when I get it all done.

Nice, thats what I'm running right now. You will definitely enjoy it. I noticed the freed up power almost instantly when I took it down the street. It also sounds pretty good imo without being obnoxious.

If anyone wants to know, this is the muffler I used on my truck.

I went with 2.25" piping though.

Anyone know how I can determine which Borla muffler fits my truck? I have a 02 Edge Ext. Cab with the 3.0L. I found several on eBay but I'm not sure which one is the right one. I sure don't want to waste 90 bucks.

If you want the proxs look on borla's site under proXS and they have all the different models of it(single in single out, center/offset, center/center). They will all work, it's just a matter of what you want. The one I got was the center/offset part # 40357. It should match up on ebay.
