You'll also notice that you use more fuel in the colder temperatures too. Cold air is the best for combustion. Heat robs performance.

Cold air intakes are a gimmick. You really think if you throw a CAI on your truck its magically gonna make the air under your hood super cold? In all actuality it will probably suck hotter air than your stock intake. It will be less restrictive, but it won't make a lick of difference in the temperature of the air its sucking in.

I suggest you do some research...
If you think a CAI is an open element filter, you are sadly mistaken. A CAI - or anything that claims to be a Cold Air Intake needs to be a closed box, separating the under hood air from the filter. Look at the Volant and the Roush. These are good examples and provide a great boost in HP. Don't think an open filter will do anything on a hot day...

no. Roush will only fit up to 2003 as it sits.
You can get it done though. A rogue maf housing:

in conjunction with the roush kit and a stock 03 or older air tube should work and perform much better than the roush on its own as well as any other aftermarket intake made specifically for your truck.
